The Nuclear Medicine Technologists of Houston 2019 Fall Symposium was held at the United Way of Greater Houston this past Saturday and was once again a major success!

The air was buzzing with excitement as many technologists from all over the Houston metro area and beyond arrived early for breakfast, networking with vendors, and to connect with colleagues, old and new!

The Symposium’s line-up was one of the best which covered topics including:

• Proton and Radiation Therapy
• The Roll of CD Simulation and PET/CT Simulation
• Cardiac PET in 2019: Radiotracers and Clinical Application
• Molecular Imaging is Going Digital
• Nuclear Medicine and PET Accreditation Update

Students from HCC, our next generation of Nuclear Techs, were assisting in all areas of the event, eager to be a part of their future careers in Nuclear Medicine.  There is truly some great talent coming into our industry as Nuclear Medicine continues to expand in the Bayou City!

Advanced Nuclear Consultants, a leading nuclear gamma camera sales, service, and parts provider based in Houston since 2004, was also in attendance.  A couple of the students volunteered as the building opened up to help us set up, making the experience for us, one of our best yet!  Thank you, Coleman College!!
