The Nuclear Medicine Technologists of Houston is an independent
chapter created by local technologists, in the 1980's, to provide a
way for technologists in Houston to get their continuing education
credits (CEU).
In the new millennium, the Nuclear Medicine Technologists of
Houston chapter is growing at a fast pace. More and more
technologists are attending our meetings, which are held twice a
year (spring and fall) for a total of at least 12 CEU credits per
year and more sponsors are getting involved to help us keep up with
such growth. In return, we are able to bring speakers who are well
known, nationally and internationally, in the field of nuclear
medicine to share with us their knowledge and expertise, new
updates and modalities and changes occurring in the field.
Our goal is to keep growing reaching technologists beyond the
Houston area inviting them to attend our meetings so that they can
benefit from getting the CEU credits needed and meeting other
technologists, which might open new doors to some.
This site has been created to educate and inform nuclear medicine
technologists in the Houston area with the idea of expanding
nationwide in a web of communication among technologists. As we
grow and expand, so will our ways of communicating with other
technologists. That's how the idea of creating this Website
started. This site will be a form of communication among
technologists sharing ideas and thoughts, new updates in the field,
topics for coming meetings, job opportunities, links to educational
sites, etc.
The hard work of past presidents and officers made it possible to
be where we are right now and for this chapter to keep growing
we'll need your help as volunteers in one way or another. Although
the work is not as hard as it used to be then we still have to put
some hours to prepare and plan coming meetings, so please help us
help you.
